Dave Floyd is an experienced business owner and lawyer. Dave grew up in the Barton Hills neighborhood and graduated from Austin High School before getting a B.A. at the University of Texas at Austin. He spent a few years in Virginia to get his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law, but quickly decided Austin was the place for him to be. He has been active in many young professional and non‐profit groups, including the Young Men’s Business League and Habitat for Humanity’s HYP group. Dave is a graduate of the Leadership Austin 2008 Emerge and 2010 Essential programs, as well as the Texas Realtors Leadership Program. He is on the Austin Board of Realtor’s Legislative Management Team, the Local Member Council for Housing of the Austin chapter of the Urban Land Institute, and he is a member of the Austin Bar Association’s Real Estate Section. Dave a member of the Fusebox arts festival board, a co-founder and board member of The Creative Fund arts support organization, and was a candidate for Austin City Council in 2014. Dave enjoys cycling, photography, and hiking (especially in the Barton Creek Greenbelt). He also enjoys hosting the Floyd Real Estate series of trivia fundraisers for non-profits, as well as trivia fundraisers for non-profits and philanthropic organizations.
